Aberystwyth

Sitting in a central position on the Ceridigion Coastline, Aberystwyth (or Mouth of the River Ystwyth) is well worth a day trip from Parc Teifi. Located less than a half hour drive it’s an easy trip and gives you the hustle and bustle of one of the biggest towns in Mid Wales as well as some breath taking coastal scenery.

You will get an authentic taste of Wales here as you will hear many people speaking our native Welsh language as they go about their everyday lives. There are lots of independent boutiques for you to pick up a souvenir or some local art along with an abundance of restaurants and cafes serving local dishes and familiar favourites.

Take a stroll along the promenade, and see the oldest pier in Wales, built in 1864. Then at the north end of the Prom, you will find Constitution Hill which gives you the highest viewing point with Aberystwyth Camera Obscura providing amazing birds eye views over Aberystwyth.

Other places of interest to note at Aberystwyth include Aberystwyth Castle, Pen Dinas (an Iron Age Hill Fort), Aberystwyth Art Centre and the National Library of Wales.
